Radio Warranty

I purchased a Tidradio H3 Plus HAM GMRS Bluetooth radio from Tidradio.com and received it on 5 May 2025.
However, four days later, the screen light stopped working and the screen went completely dark, rendering the radio pretty useless.
I contacted official support:
- via the Tidradio.com website.
- sent several emails to various company addresses;
I also filled in a form on the company website.
Despite all these attempts to contact the company and seller, I didn't receive a single reply. Based on this experience, it seems that there is no after-sales support for their products.
I first want to say that I like Tidradio radios. I have two H8's and one H3, the original one. And they have all been great radios. That is why I ordered the H3 Plus right away. So far, I have been disappointed with the H3 Plus. Some of the functions of the radio do not work correctly or not at all. I have been working with their customer service, which by the way has been fantastic, to get my issues fixed, and I'm confident that they will get everything fixed. When new radios come out, sometimes there can be things wo work out. My issues could be just my radio, so please don't think that all the radios have problems. I believe once my issues are fixed I will give it a 5 star rating.

The TD-H3 Plus is a solid little unit. The radio is getting better with every firmware update. And by the way, the only way I could get the firmware to update after many support emails back and forth was to buy an updated cable. The two cables that I was using would not work. I ordered a Tidradio cable and now every update works. The first thing that I noticed different was the menu system. There is a lot of new features so a new menu system was in order. The Bluetooth feature was a little confusing at first because did not receive a manual with my unit and could not find one online for the Plus model. But it is really nice and a long overdue feature. Linking to the ODMaster app is really cool. It is like using Zello. This unit can connect to the app through Bluetooth and talk through a custom "voice chat" channel that you can create. Once again, I did not receive a manual for this unit so I figured out the hard way that while I was talking through the ODM app, I was also simultaneously transmitting RF on the repeater frequency i was on. The repeater owner was real quick to let me know(oops). There are settings to change to turn that off. A profile system or quick settings would be helpful so that I can choose whether I am going to be talking RF or only through or online or both without having to go through settings to turn it off and on. It is a very nice feature and fun to play with and hopefully it can link with Zello in the future. This allows this unit to setve as an actual repeater. Now the not so good. I gave three stars because as cool as the new features are, it still needs to function as a RF radio. The Rx and audio quality through the system is not very good. Granted, I have HW 1.0.0, I'm sure it will get better. Compared to my TD-H8, the RX is not as sensitive. The unit will activate about a half a second after my H8 and it's receive isn't as clear. I have changed antennas as well with no difference. I should mention that I am in an area with a very strong repeater that is always S9 strong and clear but this radio sounds like I'm trying to pick it up from 30 mi away. I have since turned off power save and it is a little quicker but not quite there. I tried to use it this weekend for simplex on high power and couldn't reach my contacts 1 mile away. But my 5 Watt H8 made the connection easily. There are many other things that I found with the radio that are a little goofy but can be fixed through updates. have since turned off power save and it is a little quicker but not quite there.
