I like the TD-H3 that I got from Tidradio. It’s small yet big on features. The first thing that I was excited about was the ability to make the radio operate on GMRS
frequencies or Ham radio frequencies. I have some family members that would never try to get a Ham license. They would however consider getting a GMRS license. This would give me the opportunity to talk with family members on the radio if phone systems went down. I am licensed in both Ham radio and GMRS.
By using this radio, my family members can see how GMRS would work for them. I can choose the GMRS mode and not have to worry that they might accidentally transmit on ham frequencies. This radio has usb-c charging which is awesome. It has one of the brightest lights on a radio that I have ever seen.
How much do I like this radio…..enough to buy 4 of them. That’s right I purchased 3 other TD-H3 radios to have as backup radios. They are easy to program especially with the Bluetooth capability. If I need to program a new frequency into the radio, I just open the proper App on my phone and the job is done. The screen is full color so you aren’t just looking at a fuzzy LCD display.
The battery is a full 2500 mah size to keep you on the air for a long time. I had to get my wife at the airport recently and was able to load frequencies for the tower and incoming flights and enjoy that part of the radio as well. When you first get the radio you will notice that it is small in size. Don’t let that fool you because it is big on performance.

I love this feature rich little radio. The size is great and it had more feat5that my way more expensive radio. I love the Bluetooth programming, and cloning. I just can not believe I got it at the price I got it. Oh by the way I just sold my more expensive radio, because this replaced it. Thank you.
the manual has nothing about programing it does say what each menu item is but not what it actually do scan has the 3 choices but no where does it say what each does
